At Switch Up, our experienced team work with young people who find themselves outside of mainstream education, helping them to achieve their potential.

We do this by creating bespoke packages of support and learning for each young person. We incorporate mentoring in every support package because, in our experience, this enables young people to engage more effectively with their education.

Whilst achieving qualifications isn’t for everyone, at Switch Up we work hard to ensure that wherever possible our young people leave us with the qualifications and knowledge they need to take them to that next step in their education or career.

Our team deliver:

  • Functional Skills tuition in levels 1 & 2 in English and Maths
  • GCSE level tuition in English and Maths
  • A range of ASDAN qualifications
  • The full PSHE curriculum

Our employability team is also on hand to help young people on to that next stage of their journey towards adulthood and employment.

Our links with local businesses can provide opportunities for young people through apprenticeships, work placements and jobs when they are ready to take this next step.

Make a Difference

We’re delighted to be part of the BBC’s Make a Difference Kit Out the Nation Campaign.

It runs for a month, and is aimed at taking in and distributing unwanted, good condition sports kit and getting it to children and teenagers who need it at a time when the pandemic has seen levels of exercise among young people plummet.

Please bring your donations to us at:

Switch Up Centre / Nottingham School of Boxing, 163 Woodborough Road,  Nottingham. NG3 1AX

At these times:

Monday to Friday 5pm to 7.15pm
